We are interested in the effect of sugars (both soluble sugars and starch) on stomatal regulation. We are currently performing sink-source manipulation experiments (Girdling, root temp, defoliation, fruit removal and other) to create strong variations in carbohydrate availability and correlate them with stomatal conductance.
